Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a PA or APRN to join the Cardiac ICU in New Haven, CT. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and patient-focused care within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assessment, triage, and management of critical cardiac ICU patients, with emphasis on documentation in EPIC and adherence to regulatory standards. A licensed PA or NP with ACC/AHA competencies is preferred.

Qualifications

• PA or APRN graduate from an accredited program.
• Eligible for or currently licensed in the applicable state.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts to support 24/7 CICU coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and management of cardiac ICU patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families and support discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EPIC and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Uphold professional standards, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor for staff and new trainees.
