Job summary

Lovelace Medical Center is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Coronary Care HH Director of Nursing (RN) in Albuquerque, NM. The position demands strong leadership and 24/7 department oversight to fulfill the hospital's mission and patient care standards.

The director will monitor quality, patient and staff satisfaction, while guiding development of leaders and ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and financial aims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school required; must enroll in BSN program if not yet completed.
• Current RN license or equivalent acceptable by state board.
• Minimum 3–5 years clinical nursing experience, with 2–3 years in a management role.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned departments with 24-hour responsibility and aligned with organizational mission.
• Oversee direction, coordination and evaluation of units; supervise staff per policies and laws.
• Provide leadership and mentorship for development of leaders and staff.
• Monitor quality, patient and employee satisfaction; implement improvement strategies.
• Serve as a change agent and build relationships with physicians; handle administrative, financial and clinical activities.
