Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Education Coordinator for the Cardiac Transplant ICU. This full-time, rotating role focuses on formal and informal staff education, orientation, and clinical teaching across shifts, including weekends.

The coordinator collaborates with the NM Academy and leadership to develop education plans, validate competencies, and ensure CMS/TJC standards compliance while delivering direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse (Illinois).
• Certification in area of clinical specialty.
• BSN with a minimum of two years related clinical experience.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates and participates in unit-specific orientation with NM Academy and leadership.
• Incorporates evidence-based practice and clinical expertise in educational activities.
• Develops and evaluates formal and informal staff education across shifts including weekends.
• Develops annual unit-specific clinical skills validation and competency evaluation.
• Coordinates mandatory education activities across shifts and weekends.
• Partners with unit leadership to create individualized educational plans.
