Qualifications

• BSN required for hires after January 1, 2018; prior hires may have ADN with a BA and an MSN in progress.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience in area of specialty with equivalent patient acuity level.
• Minimum of one year of prior management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision of a team of licensed and unlicensed staff during assigned shift.
• Makes assignments based on staff competency, patient acuity, staffing ratios and productivity standards.
• Ensures uninterrupted, cost-effective patient care and patient flow; flexes staffing as needed.
• Provides direct patient care when needed (e.g., lunch relief, emergencies, high census).
• Promotes empowerment and continuous improvement in practice to enhance outcomes.
• Leads and mentors staff; collaborates across units and with leadership; ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
