Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, part of NYU Langone Health, seeks a Physician Assistant for the Cardiothoracic ICU/CCU to deliver high-quality patient care in a Level I trauma setting. The PA will work within delineated privileges, coordinating with physicians and nursing staff to support safe, effective care.

The role requires NYS PA licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications, and DEA registration. Responsibilities include direct patient care, order writing after physician consultation, rounds

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider; DEA Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Practices within the scope of delineated privileges.
• Provide direct care to individuals and families consistent with NYU Langone Health - Brooklyn's philosophy and departmental goals.
• Write appropriate orders after consulting with a physician, including those for narcotics, stimulants and depressants.
• Implement a therapeutic regime or protocol appropriate for the diagnosis in accordance with institutional protocols and after consultation with the attending physician.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and notify the attending physician of changes in condition.
