Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional EP studies and device implantations at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. You will prep patients, assist physicians, monitor hemodynamics, and educate patients before and after procedures.

Role requires knowledge of EP care, teamwork, and commitment to quality improvement. You will participate in ongoing education and uphold ICARE values in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography, RCIS or RCES must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians by scrubbing/assisting during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist physicians during insertion and removal of devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
• Monitor and report patient symptoms and changes in condition.
• Assess, plan and implement care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
• React quickly to emergency situations during procedures.
• Communicate pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families.
• Provide hemodynamic monitoring assistance during electrophysiology procedures.
• Precept new employees and share knowledge with peers.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the department.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and assist as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of EP procedures and pursue ongoing education.
• Uphold ICARE values and facility standards of performance.
