Job summary
TriStar Centennial Medical Center seeks an Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional EP studies, as well as pacemaker and ICD implantations. You will assist physicians, monitor patients, educate families, and participate in quality improvement within the EP lab.
The role requires ACLS/BCLS readiness and credentials (ARRT-R, RCIS, or RCES) within stated timeframes, plus an Associate degree or certificate.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree, or Certificate is required.
- ARRT-R Radiography, RCIS, or RCES credentials must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
- ACLS and BCLS certifications required/obtain within specified timeframes.
Responsibilities
- Scrub/assist during diagnostic and interventional EP studies.
- Assist in insertion/removal of pacemakers and ICDs.
- Monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and changes.
- Plan and implement care for EP patients.
- Respond quickly to emergencies during procedures.
- Educate patients and families pre-/post-procedure.
- Provide hemodynamic monitoring during EP procedures.
- Precept new employees and share knowledge with peers.
- Contribute to QA/improvement in the department.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of EP procedures and ongoing education.
- Uphold ICARE values and facility Standards of Performance.
