Job summary

Kansas Health System in Olathe, KS is seeking an Electrophysiology Tech II to assist electrophysiology staff in diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will monitor patients, maintain aseptic technique, assist with catheters and equipment, and participate in emergency responses under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, preparing labs, charting data, and ensuring safety and efficiency in a high-activity EP lab setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Assists in transporting patient to nursing units.
• Attends to patient needs during electrophysiology procedures by providing psychological and physical comfort measures.
• ECG placement, troubleshooting on EP med and Lifepack
• Pressure Transducer
• Electrical Cautery
• Fluoroscopy setup and operation
• ICE: Zonare and Sequoia
• SPECTRANETICS and Velocity accessories
• Prepare chest tube drainage system setup
• Performs Cardioversion, Defibrillation and Pacing
• Scrub during procedures and assist with catheter maneuvering
• Maintain asepsis and instrument counts
• Document hemodynamic and case progression data
• Participate in life-saving measures including CPR
