Job summary

PSCFL Imaging & Radiology is seeking an ECG Technician to operate ECG/EKG equipment, perform Holter monitoring and stress tests, and assist with patient comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities include logging, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and participation in quality improvement initiatives while adhering to safety and infection control policies. Strong customer service and crisis handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with ECG/Holter and stress testing equipment preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in crisis situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Know-how of hospital safety and infection control policies.
• Knowledge in pediatric cardiology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate ECG/EKG equipment to record heart activity.
• Complete patient logs and charge entries before shift end.
• Maintain inventory of EKG, Holter and stress equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and reassure them.
• Ensure equipment works properly and report malfunctions.
• Perform EKG, Holter monitoring and stress tests per policy.
• Support quality improvement projects and present results monthly.
• Comply with hospital safety and infection control policies.
• Participate in training and staff meetings.
