Care New England seeks an EKG Technician to perform electrocardiograms for inpatients and outpatients and to apply Holter monitors, explaining their use to patients. You will edit reports, transcribe results, assist with stress and nuclear testing, and coordinate scheduling of cardiology tests.

The role involves data entry for billing, maintaining equipment, and preparing reports for interpretation by a cardiologist, with duties including patient transport and general office support.

Formación

• Vocational/technical training is required.
• Minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Perform electrocardiograms daily for inpatients and outpatients.
• Apply Holter monitor and explain its use to patients.
• Edit all EKG reports and transcribe Holter and echocardiogram reports.
• Assist RNs with stress and nuclear testing.
• Schedule cardiology testing for inpatients and outpatients.
• Input medical data into the computer for billing purposes.
• Generate and prepare unedited EKG reports for cardiologist interpretation.
• Maintain and clean equipment and prepare it for the next shift.
• Transport patients to and from rooms for testing.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
