Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center is seeking a part-time Cardiovascular Diagnostics assistant to perform 12-lead ECGs and non-invasive cardiovascular testing. The role includes patient preparation for Holter monitoring, data editing, and routine HIS duties.

3rd shift with weekend rotations and rotating holidays. The position requires a High School Diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare/EKG experience or completion of an EKG certificate program with clinical internship, plus CPR/BLS

Qualifications

High School Diploma and 6 months to 1 year EKG/healthcare experience or completion of an EKG certificate program with clinical internship.
CPR/BLS certification required or within 6 months of employment.
Ability to identify cardiac arrhythmias and perform basic EKG testing.

Responsibilities

Perform 12-lead ECGs and other non-invasive cardiovascular testing with accuracy and report abnormalities.
Prepare patients for 24-hour Holter monitoring and event monitors with clear instructions.
Edit and maintain EKG data and patient files; perform routine EKG management system functions.
Maintain equipment function, perform routine maintenance, and report malfunctions.
Process completed reports and perform HIS functions (ordering, charging, crediting).
Maintain documentation for Performance Improvement monitors and department logs.
