Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Echocardiography leader in Indianapolis to optimize staffing, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes scheduling, staff development, and cross‑functional collaboration within a hospital setting.

You will oversee diagnostic system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement QC protocols while aligning supply chain processes with fiscal responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; either American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following credentials within 12 months: CCI Cardiographic Tech; ARRT CT; ARRT Cardiac‑Intrvn Radiography; ARRT MRI; ARRT Radiography; ARRT Nuclear Medicine; CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer; ARDMS Cardiac/Medical Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Directed daily staffing and 24/7 scheduling to optimize clinician-to-patient ratios.
• Led training, coaching, and evaluations of multidisciplinary staff.
• Streamlined patient flow through cross‑team collaboration to meet clinical targets.
• Managed advanced diagnostic systems; led troubleshooting and quality control to minimize downtime.
• Conducted supply chain audits and workload analyses; adjusted to maintain readiness and cost control.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year OR 5 years of applicable experience

• Schedule: Full-time | Days | Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm (no call, no holidays, some weekends)

• Directed daily staffing assignments and 24/7 departmental scheduling, optimizing clinician-to-patient ratios to ensure high-quality care delivery and operational continuity.
• Led the training, coaching, and performance evaluation of multidisciplinary staff; provided critical clinical input for talent acquisition and organizational development procedures.
• Orchestrated seamless collaboration across the healthcare team to streamline patient flow, ensuring effective intervention and the achievement of targeted clinical outcomes.
• Managed advanced diagnostic system performance, spearheading troubleshooting and quality control protocols to mitigate technical downtime and maintain diagnostic integrity.
• Executed comprehensive supply chain audits and workload‑vs-stock analyses, implementing strategic adjustments to maintain peak departmental readiness and fiscal responsibility.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Preferred Experience

• Prefer 5+ years of cardiac echocardiogram experience and 2+ years of leadership experience
