Job summary

St. Joseph's Health in Wayne, NJ is seeking a capable ultrasound technologist to perform routine sonographic exams in inpatient and outpatient settings, following protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles.

RDMS or CCI certification within 12 months, an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology or two–three years of related study, and the ability to explain procedures to patients and families are required.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of education beyond high school or an Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology or closely related field.
• ARDMS registration or CCI certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sonographic exams in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Utilize specialized equipment and hospital databases to enter patient information.
• Maintain image quality and adhere to ALARA principles while focusing on patient care.
