Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive ultrasound exams, ensuring patient safety and high-quality reporting. The role includes clerical duties, collaboration with physicians and staff, and ongoing professional development.

You will help maintain a clean lab and contribute to performance improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates hold CCI/ARDMS registry, BLS, and CVT PACT certifications with doppler/strain experience.

Qualifications

• Registry through CCI or ARDMS.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience as an Echo Sonographer II or equivalent Level 1+ with strain and Doppler, basic 3D, and stress echo skills.
• CVT PACT certification.
• Assist with IAC ASE membership and attendance at echo conferences.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols and ensure patient identification, safety, and quality assurance.
• Complete clerical tasks, record testing information accurately, and report critical results per policy while protecting privacy.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and staff in a pleasant, informative manner and provide policy improvement suggestions.
• Enhance teamwork with motivation, accountability, problem‑solving, and willingness to mentor others.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, prepare labs, and manage opening/closing procedures.
• Identify learning needs, participate in in‑services and meetings, and pursue more efficient testing techniques.
