Job summary

Akicita Federal is hiring an Ultrasound Echo Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic cardiac imaging services for the VA New Jersey Health Care System at the Toms River Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Toms River, NJ. You will perform echocardiography and ultrasound procedures, document findings, and coordinate with Veterans and staff.

Requirements include RDCS or equivalent, NJ/U.S. license, and experience with VA EHR systems.

Qualifications

RDCS or equivalent credential recognized by ARDMS/CCI.
Current unrestricted Ultrasound/Echo Technician license (NJ or national).
Experience performing echocardiography in a clinical setting.
Proficiency documenting findings in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound and echocardiography on Veteran patients.
Operate and maintain ultrasound/echocardiography equipment with proper calibration.
Acquire and document high-quality diagnostic cardiac images.
Provide preliminary assessment of image quality and flag urgent findings.
Document procedures and patient information in VA EHR.
Communicate with Veterans, staff, and physicians to coordinate workflows.
Adhere to VA infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards.
