Qualifications

• RDCS or ACS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive echocardiographic procedures including Echocardiograms, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms, and Exercise Echocardiograms, both in the Cardiovascular lab and in-patient units.
• Recognizes and responds to urgent clinical findings, informs physicians of abnormal study results as needed.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to facilitate delivery of service.
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and integrity of documentation and patient reports.
• Data entry of echocardiogram results, generates formal reports, disperses reports to physicians and inpatient units; telephone results when necessary.
• Maintains all Cardiac Ultrasound Equipment; cleans probes and filters; prepares the lab for readiness.
• Coordinates workflow and scheduling for echocardiography services.
• Assists in scheduling special echocardiogram procedures and arranging personnel.
• Contributes to education and professional development; assists with weekly conferences.
