Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a cardiac sonographer to perform echocardiography tests per ASE standards. You will explain procedures, prepare patients, position them, and operate ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images for diagnosis.

You may train students or junior staff, assist with IAC accreditation when needed, and follow safety and HIPAA guidelines. Some sites may require mobile work; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited two-year Cardiac Ultrasound Program.
• ND: licensure through NDMIRT or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree + 1 year cardiac sonography experience (MN).
• Allied health certificate/diploma in imaging modality may satisfy on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography tests per ASE standards.
• Explain procedures and prep patients.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images.
• Provide preliminary summary of findings to interpreting physician.
• Train students or junior staff as needed.
