Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography exams following ASE standards in clinic, hospital, or mobile settings. You will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and provide preliminary findings to physicians.

The role may involve supervision of students and adherence to HIPAA, safety policies, and accreditation processes as required by Sanford Health.

Qualifications

• North Dakota: graduate from accredited cardiac sonography program or 1 year work experience; allied health cert/diploma may be required.
• South Dakota: ARDMS/CCI or registry eligible within 12 months.
• All other states: ARRT/ARDMS/CCI or registry eligible within 18 months.
• North Dakota licensure through NDMIRT required if performing imaging.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiography tests/procedures per ASE standards.
• Prepare patients: explain procedures, transfer to table, apply gel, position.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to record cardiac images for medical diagnosis.
• Provide preliminary summary of findings to the interpreting physician.
