Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform echocardiograms in accordance with scope and standards. This onsite, part-time role supports the CTRC Outpatient department.

Responsibilities include reviewing history, educating patients, operating transducers, selecting exposure factors, and entering reports. Requires RDCS/RCS or equivalent and BLS; pay range $42.01–$58.82 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program or related degree.
• RDCS or RCS licensure/certification requirements.
• BLS CPR certification required or as determined at position level.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient on procedures.
• Performs echocardiography procedures; selects transducers by anatomy.
• Sets exam expectations and ensures adequate information for diagnosis.
• Adjusts exposure factors and imaging parameters; administers contrast if indicated.
• Monitors patient status and reports changes; ensures safety and QC checks.
• Documents, transmits and reports scan results; works with minimal supervision.
