Job summary

UCHealth seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiogram procedures at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. The role is on-site with a day shift and no hybrid/remote option.

Responsibilities include reviewing history, educating patients, selecting transducers, and ensuring imaging quality while adhering to safety standards. A RDCS/RCS or equivalent certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR Associate‘s degree in allied health OR a Bachelor‘s degree in any area.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiography procedures independently.
• Educates patients about procedures and exam expectations.
• Selects transducers and imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic quality images.
• Ensures safety standards and quality control of equipment.
