Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a skilled cardiac ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive adult echocardiography. The role covers transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography with contrast and saline studies, in a high-quality diagnostic workflow.

Eligibility for certification required within one year of hire; experienced RDCS/RVT or RCS credentials strongly preferred. Join a premier Alabama health system delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program preferred.
• Certified RDCS/RVT (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.
• Certification must be obtained within one year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality diagnostic adult cardiac ultrasound examinations.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform TTE, TEE and stress echocardiography including agitated saline and contrast studies.
• Apply cardiology imaging knowledge to optimize the echocardiography evaluation.
