Job summary

UK HealthCare in Lexington, KY is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer on-call to perform accurate and quality diagnostic adult echocardiography exams in accordance with ICAEL guidelines. The role requires a solid understanding of ultrasound equipment, medical terminology, and the cardiac disease process.

The successful candidate will hold ARDMS certification (RDCS or RCS preferred), an Allied Health degree, and be able to obtain data for physician interpretation.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have an Allied Health degree; ARDMS certification; RDCS or RCS ; experience performing echocardiograms and stress testing in a patient care center; general computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and quality diagnostic adult cardiac exams in accordance with ICAEL guidelines.
• Obtain data to disseminate for physician interpretation and ensure proper measurements and calculations.
• Maintain ultrasonic equipment and patient safety; adhere to university and ICAEL standards.
