Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Cardiovascular Medicine in Austell, Georgia is seeking a FT Echo (Cardiac Sonographer) for a day shift. The Echo Tech performs cardiac imaging, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, and may inject ultrasound enhancing agents as needed.

Under the Manager/Lead Sonographer, you will ensure patient safety, proper documentation, and collaboration with health care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from accredited program.
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program; Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year echocardiography experience; formal training preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs adult/pediatric echocardiograms and TEEs per procedure.
• Ensures patient safety, privacy, and comfort.
• Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment; reports issues.
• Documents findings and communicates preliminary results when requested.
• Keeps PACS and documentation up to date.
