Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled cardiac sonographer to perform echocardiograms (TTE/TEE) for inpatient and outpatient adults across multiple locations. The role emphasizes timely studies, collaboration with the care team, and strict adherence to ASE and IAC standards.

Responsibilities include administering contrast per guidelines, contributing to quality improvement, and ensuring accurate patient identification and orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as cardiac sonographer through CCI or ARDMS registry within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate of formal cardiac sonography program or currently enrolled.
• Knowledge of ultrasound techniques, principles and procedures.
• Competence with equipment preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Participates in orientation, continuing education and updates, and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Performance of echocardiograms (TEE, TTE, SE as applicable per location) for inpatient and outpatient adults.
• Interdepartmental collaboration for timely completion of studies.
• Administration of image enhancing agent per ASE guidelines.
• Participation in the Quality Improvement Program for the department.
• Properly identifies patients and orients them to procedure(s). Complies with IAC standards and guidelines.
