Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies including 2D/3D imaging, Doppler, and strain analysis. The role involves patient assessment, education, and collaboration with physicians and staff to support high-quality cardiac imaging.

Responsibilities include stress and contrast echocardiography, possible transesophageal procedures, and strict adherence to HIPAA and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Allied Health required.
• Cardiac Sonography program certificate highly preferred.
• 1 year echocardiography experience or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs transthoracic echocardiograms (2D/3D) with Doppler, color flow and strain.
• Performs stress echocardiograms and contrast-enhanced studies.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms when required.
• Performs patient assessments and participates in quality control.
• Provides patient and family education and supports staff education.
