Qualifications

• RDCS eligibility within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within three months of hire.
• ACLS certification within three months if trained to perform stress testing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms according to department policies.
• Assist physicians with transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Hook up Holter monitors and scan tracings; perform EKG and stress tests as needed.
• Assist lab operations: ordering supplies, equipment upkeep, billing support within cardiology.
• Assist lead sonographer with quality assurance and data comparison across imaging modalities.
• Follow all department, hospital, and regulatory policies.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain a safe environment.
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
• Cross-trained to perform EKGs and stress testing if required.
