Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an experienced cardiac ultrasound technologist for Newport Hospital. The role performs M-mode, 2D echocardiography, and Doppler studies, explains procedures to patients, and supports teaching and research activities within the cardiology program.

Requires completion of a CAAEP-accredited ultrasound program and eligibility for ARDMS certification, with at least two years of cardiac ultrasound experience. Per diem/day shift within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAEP accredited ultrasound program.
• Must be eligible to sit for ARDMS certificate examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform M-mode and 2D echocardiography, Doppler and contrast imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist in teaching cardiology fellows and participate in data collection and research.
