Job summary

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience performing Echocardiograms preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service.
• Ability to operate equipment and provide accurate preliminary interpretation of test results.
• Ability to maintain the safety, integrity and comfort of patients at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients.
• Prepare patients for Echo.
• Maintain safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain monthly statistics.
• Communicate with cardiologists, primary care physicians and other departments to facilitate delivery of services.
• Provide referring physician with preliminary interpretation and deliver results for formal interpretation.
• Support medical practice initiatives for performance improvement.
• Maintain daily activities log.
• Use and maintain all cardiac ultrasound equipment.
• Inform physicians of abnormal study results which may require immediate response under cardiologists.
• File and send Echocardiogram reports to proper patient records and referring physicians.
• When necessary, telephone results to physicians.
• Take necessary steps to ensure patient safety and comfort.
