Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for the Olathe Hospital. This full-time role focuses on advanced echocardiography, patient-centered care, and timely imaging for diverse patient populations.

The position requires BLS certification and registration (RDCS or RDCS/RCS) and offers on-site duties with opportunities for professional growth within our cardiology department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred graduate of accredited cardiac ultrasound/echocardiography program or health science program (cardiovascular tech, ultrasound, radiologic tech, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
• Training or certification in IV and UEA contrast administration mentioned as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs pre-ultrasound assessment, clarifying with the ordering physician if needed.
• Ensures exam aligns with patient history and diagnosis; explains procedure to patient.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Performs routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Assists with TEE imaging and post-procedure cleaning and disinfection.
• Provides on-call echocardiographic services under cardiologist direction.
