Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in Plantation, FL is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform and monitor echocardiograms, communicate findings, and support providers with high-quality imaging. The role requires ARDMS RDCS, CCI RCS, and BLS certifications, plus a completed Ultrasound Technology program and 1+ year of diagnostic experience.

Qualifications

• Active RDCS certification by ARDMS.
• Active RCS certification by CCI.
• ARDMS Echocardiography certification.
• Graduated from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• 1+ year of experience in a diagnostic facility or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality 2D echocardiograms with color flow Doppler following established protocols.
• Communicate with physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and sonographers about patient conditions.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions with empathy.
• Identify normal vs pathological findings during exams.
• Prepare exam rooms, verify patient identity, and follow infection control procedures.
• Review requisitions and records for proper patient preparation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
• Maintain ABR/CCI certifications and BLS.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.
• Provide in-service education to staff.
