Job summary

The position may involve training students and other sonographers, maintaining safety and HIPAA-compliant practices, and traveling to sites as required by the facility’s operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited two-year Cardiac Ultrasound Program (ND/SD/MT preferred).
• ND: allied health certificate/diploma in an imaging modality may be considered for on-the-job training.
• Minnesota: bachelor’s and one year cardiac sonography experience required.
• ARDMS/ARRT/CCI or registry eligible within 18 months is required in all other states.
• If working in North Dakota with imaging or radiation procedures, licensure through NDMIRT is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiography tests/procedures following ASE standards.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for exams.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of heart structures and blood flow.
• Produce and document preliminary findings for the interpreting physician.
• Supervise or train students or junior sonographers as needed.

Bachelor's degree + 1 year cardiac sonography experience (MN)

Credentialed with ARRT / ARDMS / CCI or registry eligible (within 18 months)
