Centralus Health is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform inpatient and outpatient echocardiography with adherence to IAC guidelines, contributing to quality patient care across our affiliated centers.

You will document findings in the EMR, communicate preliminary results to cardiologists, and participate in on-call rotations while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. A strong teamwork mindset and ongoing certification are expected.

Qualifications

• Active certification in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or RCS (or equivalent) required.
• Maintain working knowledge and educational requirements for active certification.
• Graduate from an approved program preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-quality inpatient and outpatient adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms per IAC guidelines.
• Provide reading cardiologist with preliminary findings in a timely manner after study completion.
• Document and appropriately charge all studies in the EMR.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment for accurate results.
• Be on-call on a rotating basis, including holidays.
• Assist in training/orienting additional sonographers, students, or staff.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety with empathetic bedside manner.
• Report urgent/critical findings to the reading cardiologist immediately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
