Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI is required within one year of graduation from a cardiac ultrasound program.
• 1+ year of hospital experience preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems and strong computer skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures with proper exposure factors and safety standards.
• Analyses imaging results and resolves image quality issues.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
