Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join the Baystate Cardiology team in Palmer/Springfield, MA. The role involves performing echocardiograms and collaborating with physicians to support patient care.

Qualified candidates have an accredited diagnostic sonography program, BLS, and RDCS. The position requires 40 hours weekly with on-call, weekend and holiday rotation within a busy cardiac diagnostics department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ultrasonography accredited program required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) license with American Heart Association.
• 3+ years of experience preferred in echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms according to department protocol and procedure.
• Operates and optimizes ultrasound equipment to improve image quality.
• Completes documentation in PACS and ensures accurate billing.
• Demonstrates initiative, reliability and flexibility in duties.
• Assists with emergency procedures as needed.
