Job summary

Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Cardiac Diagnostics in Fairfax, VA, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Diagnostics team. The day shift runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities include stress test setup and monitoring, EKG interpretation, patient prep, and providing emergency support under physician direction. Qualified candidates will have a BSN (or ADN with BSN within five years), 1 year of RN experience, and BLS

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience required.
• BLS certification through AHA required.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor patients for stress testing (nuclear, pharmacological, stress echo, treadmill).
• Identify and interpret EKG rhythms (training provided).
• Prepare patients for stress testing procedures.
• Provide emergency support to patients in the office as needed.
• Support physicians, nurse practitioners and other staff.
