Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The role requires a BSN, North Carolina RN licensure, and BLS, with at least 12 months of clinical experience in cardiology.

The position involves independent nursing care planning, supervision of staff, and ensuring safety and quality in patient care across shifts in a four-ten hour schedule. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current NC RN licensure and BLS required.
• Twelve months of relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders.
• Use nursing judgment to tailor care to patient baselines and responses.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit.
• Monitor environment of care and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities.
