Job summary

Summit Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Device Technician to perform device interrogations, reprogramming, and remote monitoring across hospital departments and clinics. This on-site role requires strong technical and patient-service abilities to support cardiology teams.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications, basic EKG knowledge, and at least one year of related experience; training will be provided for orientation.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer skills required.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• Basic EKG training with arrhythmia knowledge.
• 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate implanted cardiac devices and review data.
• Test pacemaker lead output thresholds to optimize settings.
• Document device analyses in EMR and coordinate with Cardiologist.
• Refer changes to ordering provider for condition updates.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and contact no-shows.
• Enter charges for interrogations, reprogramming, and remote monitoring.
• Collaborate with providers on device status.
• Review remote monitoring transmissions.
• Notify patients about device/lead alerts.
• Assist patients to Emergency Department when needed.
