Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician to support cardiovascular care in FryeCare Cardiology. This full-time role Monday through Friday focuses on procedures, imaging, and patient care in the Cath Lab.

You will operate diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, assist physicians during catheterizations, and ensure safety and documentation. Ideal candidates have Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology training and RCIS or ARRT credentials, plus BLS

Qualifications

Graduates of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology programs.
RCIS certification or ARRT credential required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS certification within 90 days of employment if not current at hire.
One year of cardiovascular lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs cardiovascular and vascular procedures, monitoring diagnostic and interventional procedures according to scope and standards of practice.
Operates imaging equipment used in diagnostic and vascular testing and therapeutic interventions in the Cath Lab.
Assists physicians during cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures.
Scrubs at the tableside, monitors patients, and transports as needed.
Prepares equipment and supplies for procedures; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
Implements safety standards and performs quality-control on equipment.
Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and reports issues.
Maintains documentation related to procedures and patient care.
