Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician for Cardio at our Detroit-area facilities. This full-time role offers a Day shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm) with no weekends, and eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

You will oversee device programming, educate patients, monitor and reprogram devices, maintain documentation, and manage supply inventory within our state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2 years' experience - associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients regarding procedures and communicates concerns to physicians.
• Administers, monitors and reprograms cardiac devices.
• Maintains documentation of reported information and may perform additional clerical duties.
• Maintains supply inventory.

Job Description

Cardiac Device Technician - Cardio - 40 Hours - Days

Eligible for Full-Time Benefits

Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Oversees device programming including the integration and reprogramming of devices and monitoring of patients. Responsibilities:

• Educates patients regarding procedures. Addresses and communicates patient concerns regarding devices to physicians.


• Administers, monitors and reprograms devices.


• Maintains documentation of reported information and may perform additional clerical duties as assigned.


• Maintains supply inventory.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• High School Diploma with 2 years' experience - associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Experience Preferred

• Certified device technician who is familiar with reviewing cardiac device reports and alerts as well as reprogramming settings for the device preferred.


• Experience with post op wound care preferred.

Certification/Licences Required

• Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
