The Telemetry Monitor Technician (TMT) works in a support role to the RN who is providing nursing care to the patients on the unit. The TMT provides accurate monitoring of patients' cardiac rhythm including prompt recognition and action for arrhythmias that are detrimental to the patient. Demonstrates clinical competency, compassion and customer service orientation, maintains focus on process and outcomes, and demonstrates cost consciousness when providing service to patients. The TMT will assist in the care and maintenance of departmental area, equipment and supplies. Under general supervision, the TMT will perform job duties and adhere to Remote Telemetry Policies and Procedures.
Working Conditions:| Normal patient care environment with moderate exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, etc. May encounter frequent exposure to communicable disease, hazardous substances, and moderately adverse Working Conditions due to the performance of patient care activities. | Orientation Requirements:| Must attend new employee orientation and department orientation. |
