Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Cardiac Device Specialist for day shift, full-time. You will perform device interrogations, assist cardiologists, monitor systems, and ensure patient safety.

Requires high school diploma, pacemaker programming experience, ACLS/BLS, national certification, and within first year CCSD/IBHRE/CRAT. Preferred: Associate’s CVT, strong knowledge of anatomy, radiation safety, and software applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of a variety of software applications programs
• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures
• Pacemaker programming experience
• ACLS
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• National Certification
• CCSD, IBHRE, and CRAT certifications are required within the first year

Responsibilities

• The technologist will perform interrogations of pacemakers and implantable defibrillator's.
• Monitor, write reports, and manage remote patient interrogations.
• Identify critical device and/or patient issues and bring them to the attention of the provider, and maintain the device database.
• Assists cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams.
• Maintains and monitors systems, equipment, and supplies for the assigned department.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
