Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Cardiovascular Specialist for day shift and PRN positions in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab-B. You will contribute to diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitor equipment, and support team leadership as needed.

Required qualifications include an associate degree in nursing or radiology, Basic Life Support, ACLS, and relevant certifications (RT/EMT/Paramedic/RRT).

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or radiology or Allied Health program graduates (EMT/Paramedic/RT/RT).
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire or transfer and before direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required; other advanced cardiovascular credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology is essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology labs.
• Monitors and maintains equipment.
• May serve as charge or lead.
• Adheres to policies and patient safety regulations.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree in either nursing or radiology, or a graduate of an allied health accredited program, including EMTs, Paramedics, or Respiratory Therapists.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS; Radiologic Technologist Certificate (RT), EMT, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Radiology Tech or EMT-Paramedic.
• One (1) year of previous job-related experience. Clinical educational experience may be substituted for work experience.
• Advanced credentialing in cardiovascular and electrophysiology is strongly recommended. RCIS, RCES, RCVT, ARRT(RT(R)), CV, CI, or VI.
