Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a qualified professional to analyze and interrogate pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders across cardiology practices. The role supports telemonitoring by reviewing data and maintaining software applications.

The position requires knowledge of pacemaker equipment, device reprogramming capabilities, and adherence to HIPAA, privacy policies, and company Code of Conduct. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree with 1+ year related experience
  • 1 year in electrophysiology field
  • BLS certification
  • Compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment.
  • Analyzes and re-programs all pacemakers with various programs.
  • Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks.
  • Is responsible for all data through software application.
  • Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician.
  • Maintains follow up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients.
  • Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's.
  • Performs EKGs as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs and implantable loop recorders across the cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing the data and maintaining software application.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment. (20%)
  • Analyzes and re-programs all pacemakers with various programs. (20%)
  • Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks. (15%)
  • Is responsible for all data through software application. (15%)
  • Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician. (10%)
  • Maintains follow up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients. (10%)
  • Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's. (5%)
  • Performs EKGs as needed. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum

Associates degree and one or more years related experience and training

Preferred

1 year in electrophysiology field

Additional Employment Requirements:
  • BLS certification
