Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Telemetry/ECG Technician to perform continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under RN supervision. You will analyze and record ECG rhythms and monitor central stations and bedside devices, while maintaining alarms and supporting transport and phone duties.

• Maintains continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport; identifies changes and reports to the RN as appropriate.
• Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor upon patient discharge.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors; ensures alarms are maintained at appropriate levels and settings.
• Performs other unit-specific duties such as video monitoring, order entry and answering phones.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
