Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville is seeking an experienced cardiac device specialist to manage implantables and perform in-office interrogations. You will document outcomes, coordinate MRI approvals, and optimize device settings to support patient care.

A strong background with major manufacturers and hands-on programming is required. Candidates should have 2+ years of device management, EP experience, and CRAT certification prior to start.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of implanted cardiac device management with knowledge of all programmers.
• 3+ years cardiology experience; EP preferred.
• CRAT certification required before start date.
• Preferred: CCT, RCES, IBHRE certifications (CCDS/CEPS/CDRMS).
• Hands-on device interrogations and programming changes experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred or related field experience.
• Experience with all four major manufacturers' diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Device Interrogations: perform in-office and in-person interrogations with consistent data collection.
• Document visit outcomes clearly including device testing summaries.
• MRI device knowledge to support approvals and scheduling.
• AV optimization in-office to ensure smooth patient procedures.
• Vendor navigation across Medtronic, Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific systems.
• Telephonically assess and address pacemaker questions; coordinate remote follow-ups.
• Manage office admin: documentation, records, and device maintenance testing.
• Maintain records on device advisories, recalls, and alerts; update testing equipment.

Clearly document outcome of visit, including summary of device testingMRI Device Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of MRI-compatible devices, presenting relevant information to providers for patient approvals and MRI scheduling.AV Optimization: Skilled in performing AV optimizations in-office, ensuring procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently.Vendor Navigation: Proficient in navigating systems and tools provided by the four main vendors in the industry: Medtronic, Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific.Cardiac arrhythmias-address inappropriate detection, therapy or therapy failure with EP physician in timely fashionTelephonically assess, interpret and evaluate pacemakers' functions, assess patient questions and concerns and refer as appropriatePerform and coordinate remote follow-up visits (Latitude, Carelink, Merlin, and Biotronik)Manage office responsibilities which include documentation, records, and testing device maintenanceMaintain records related to device advisory, recalls, and alertsMaintenance of device testing equipment and continual review of updatesSuccessful completion of a cardiac device rhythm management course or equivalent experience.2+ years of recent implanted cardiac device management experience with knowledge of all manufacturer programmers.3+ years cardiology experience, cardiac electrophysiology preferred.Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) required prior to employment commencement date.Additional preferred certifications—Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certifications (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS) also preferred, prior to employment date.Hands-On Clinical Expertise: In addition to our standard remote competencies, candidates must possess proven, hands-on experience performing in-office device interrogations, optimizations, and programming changes.Bachelor's or associate degree preferred OR experience in a related field—nursing, medicine, electronics, or engineering. Experience with interrogating and interpreting device diagnostics for all four major manufacturers (Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik).Experience in performing AV-Optimizations under the guidance of a providerCardiac rhythm management industry training and experience preferred.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.94-38.91 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
