Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Sinai Hospital in Baltimore seeks a Cardiac Device Specialist to manage patients with cardiac rhythm management devices in both ambulatory and hospital settings. You will perform device interrogation, programming, remote monitoring, education, and longitudinal follow-up, coordinating with electrophysiologists to ensure timely care and continuity across care settings.

Requirements include 2–4 years in rhythm management; RN or cardiovascular technology degree; BLS; and

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cardiac rhythm management or related field
• Experience with pacemaker, ICD, CRT, and implantable loop recorder interrogation and programming
• Experience with remote monitoring platforms from major device manufacturers
• Education: Nursing degree or Cardiovascular related field

Job description

About the Role:

• The Cardiac Device Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management of patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, implantable loop recorders (ILRs), and other cardiac rhythm management technologies.
• This position functions with a high degree of clinical autonomy in the ambulatory setting, independently managing an assigned patient population and conducting dedicated device clinic visits.
• The Cardiac Device Specialist is responsible for the evaluation, management, education, and longitudinal follow-up of patients within their scope of practice, including ensuring appropriate follow-up intervals, reviewing device data, identifying clinical concerns, and coordinating care with electrophysiologists and other providers when escalation is indicated.
• The specialist provides expert device interrogation, programming, remote monitoring management, patient education, and clinical support across ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• The position is accountable for maintaining continuity of care for patients throughout the device management lifecycle and ensuring timely completion and documentation of required follow-up.
• Requirements:
• Experience: 2-4 years, Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, or cardiac device management Experience with pacemaker, ICD, CRT, and implantable loop recorder interrogation and programming preferred. Experience utilizing remote monitoring platforms from major device manufacturers preferred. Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Cardiovascular Science, Allied Health, or related clinical field
• Licensures & Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support RN or CCDS, CEPS, RCIS, or RCES

Pay Range: $39.14 to $58.71 Based On Experience
