Job summary

MEP Health is seeking a CT Technologist for Acworth Health Park to perform CT imaging and ensure patient safety. You will work independently to operate imaging equipment, obtain histories, and explain procedures with compassion and clarity.

The role requires ARRT CT/R radiography certifications, strong attention to safety and infection control, and collaboration with the imaging team to maintain high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and workspaces, report issues promptly.
• Verify patient identity, obtain histories, and screen for contraindications before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety.
• Administer contrast, position patients, and ensure image quality; review and repeat images as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and ensure proper data entry in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist in equipment readiness.
• Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
