Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, operate scanners, position patients, and ensure radiation safety in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates hold a radiologic technology program diploma, possess ARRT CT and Radiography credentials, at least one year of radiology experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans according to departmental guidelines and capture diagnostic images with precision.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, optimizing technique and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications before procedures.
  • Communicate procedures clearly and ensure patient comfort using AIDET principles.
  • Administer contrast agents when necessary, using sterile technique and venipuncture.
  • Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and review images for diagnostic quality.
  • Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS and finalize studies.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support safety protocols.
  • Organize workflows and support departmental operations in compliance with standards.

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at a healthcare facility. They are essential members of a collaborative care team, responsible for performing CT procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans according to departmental guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications before procedures.
  • Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and ensure comfort using AIDET principles.
  • Administer contrast agents when necessary, using sterile techniques and venipuncture skills.
  • Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams if needed.
  • Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, ensuring proper study finalization and data management.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support safety protocols.
  • Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications in ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
