Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Cardiac Stepdown to lead nursing care and coordination on the unit during the shift. You will collaborate with management to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care and support staff through scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

The CNC drives initiatives to improve throughput, patient outcomes, and experience, while upholding hospital policies and mission.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds, to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports performance evaluations and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling; manages labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
