Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) to work primary nursing support in the Cardiac Cath area. This full-time position involves assisting physicians with patient diagnosis, administering medications, and ensuring proper patient preparation for examinations.

Candidates must have a specialty training program graduation and strong clinical and communication skills. This role requires participation in a Level 1 Heart Attack Program on-call rotation and offers a $15,000 hiring incentive.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• RN experience with telemetry, ED, and/or ICU is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing support in the Cardiac Cath area.
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Prepare patients for examinations and oversee chart checks.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications and manage IVs.
• Educate patients on medication and treatment.
